Roberto Mancini has suggested that Manchester City won’t be bidding for Zlatan Ibrahimovic or Gaston Ramirez this summer. “I have four very strong attackers.” The newly-crowned English champions have been pushed in recent weeks with a return to the Italian market to reinforce their squad for next year. Milan’s Ibrahimovic has previously been linked with a move to the club, whilst Bologna’s Ramirez has an offer from an English club, according to his agent. However, neither are on Mancini’s agenda. Zlatan is a champion, but I have four very strong attackers, They measure up to those in the Champions League. Nothing is true. And that of Ramirez? He is a good, young player with great potential. In attach, though, we are OK. The manager also commented on where he believes his long-term future in the game lies. I miss Italy, as do all those who emigrate. But for now I’m very happy where I am and I have still not received any offer from Serie A. Mancini’s attention was then turned to compatriot Roberto Di Matteo’s work with Chelsea this season, where he won the FA Cup and Champions League after taking over from Andre Villas Boas. He took a difficult situation and managed it with great intelligence. Did he win by playing in the Italian way? The Germans say that they have always suffered with our football.
